Artytime is a Community Interest Company limited by guarantee whose over all mission is to bring Arts and Craft to all ages and abilities. We do this by setting up creative workshops and sessions as well as training people to deliver them.

The world needs creative thinkers. We believe developing peoples’ creativity whatever their age is the key to future wellbeing. But best of all Artytime Sessions are excellent fun.

Once known as “Scotland in Sussex”, Crowborough is the largest and highest inland town in East Sussex, nestled in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and bordering Ashdown Forest.

Brighter Crowborough is a growing band of like-minded volunteers who strive to keep our streets, paths, hedgerows, waterways and woodlands free of litter. We also maintain the planting displays at Crowborough railway station.

We meet on Sunday mornings, alternating between the Croft Road car park and the railway station car park in Jarvis Brook.

New volunteers are always very welcome, whether you can manage the occasional Sunday or would like to become a more frequent helper.

We are a team of Crowborough residents striving to get Plastic Free status through the Plastic Free Communities scheme setup by Surfers Against Sewage. We'll be working with the community, businesses, schools and the Town Council to get there.

 Volunteers Always Needed!

We need residents whether they be private, council or Housing Association tenants to help us do more. So much has been achieved in a short period of time but we can do more to improve quality the of life here in the Alderbrook area - if you want to be part of it please do contact us.

Many of us work full-time so help is always gratefully received.

There are many different topics that need residents involvement - our group only have 6 meetings a year but we also attend meetings for WRAG (Wealden Residents Action Group) who "oversee" all the community groups with issues that affect us all as well as getting involved in all the changes such as Council Tax, Benefits and the new Tenancies and even new Housing!  There are also reading groups who are asked to check over information Wealden is to send to residents and focus groups that deal with specific issues.

Thank you to the volunteers who have offered their services so far - more always welcome!

We are 11 ladies in Crowborough, sewing masks daily for people during the COVID-19 epidemic. We issue the masks freely to raise money for charity. Currently for Friends of Crowborough Hospital
